MEET JENNE
OWNER & MASTER STYLIST
Jenne is a master hairstylist and the owner of HI Lites Salon with 21 years of experienced. She feels so grateful for the ability to have her own salon and do what she loves after coming from humble beginnings in a tiny village in the Philippines. She works hard to make her clients comfortable and says "With my clients, I enjoy their company--we joke, have fun and we crack up laughing the whole time. I love my work!" She believes that hair is a perfect way of expressing ourselves. She's here to help you recreate your vision and the style you want to achieve.
MEET ABBIE
HAIR STYLIST
Abbie has been doing hair since 2017, and is a graduate of the Paul Mitchell school in Honolulu. She specializes in color transformations (specifically balayage/ low maintenance hair color) and Brazilian blowout treatments. Abbie is always continuing her education in order to keep up with the latest techniques.
MEET CYDNEE
HAIR STYLIST
Cydnee is a passionate stylist specializing in colors & cuts. She lives for giving her clients a new look & is excited to go to work everyday. She's very outgoing & loves talking with her clients and making them feel comfortable. She's very attentive to what her clients want while keeping up with the latest trends, styles, and education.
MEET DEENA
HAIR STYLIST
Deena has been doing hair for 12 years, a graduate of Ulupono Academy, a Paul Mitchell partner school, where she completed her full Cosmetology degree. After graduation, she worked as a full-time stylist in a Downtown Salon, before going back to Paul Mitchell the School Honolulu, to become a licensed Cosmetology Instructor.
 After 4 years of teaching, she came to Kailua to work behind the chair full time. She loves color, especially dimensional colors, like foilyage and highlighting, she’s also excels at styling and haircutting, . Deena is a certified professional in Paul Mitchell color lines and products. She is also certified Brazilian Blowout Express Treatment and in Babe i-Link and tape-in professional hair extensions. Deena is loves attending continuing education classes in order to keep up on the latest techniques, trends and styles.
MEET TAKUJI
HAIR STYLIST
Takuji creates dynamic, yet delicate styling with stunning acumen and scissor skills. His philosophy of style: "A fusion of Japanese and Western Sensibility." Think Hollywood chic meets Japanese technique. "Simple and straightforward. Yet it's also a style with a subtle touch. That's his approach. Bringing forth and accentuating that person's ultimate beauty is what I help to do.
​After polishing his skills in Tokyo, TAKUJI headed on his own to America. He worked at a renowned salon in West Hollywood and the Paul Mitchell-affiliated Reve Salon at The Kahala Hotel & Resort in Oahu Hawaii before going freelance "I spend a lot of time consulting before cutting and styling because he feels it's important to have a sense of the customer's lifestyle for best results. He truly has fun with this work.
MEET KANAI'A
HAIR STYLIST
Kanai'a is a graduate from Paul Mitchell the school Honolulu in 2013, Kanai’a is a hair color, Balayage and cutting specialist. She is always continuing her education in order to keep up on the latest techniques, trends and styles. She enjoys giving her clients new and exciting looks and makes sure to listen to her clients wants and needs each time they come in.
MEET HEIDI
HAIR STYLIST
Heidi got her start doing hair at Paul Brown Salons in 2007 as an assistant to Paul Brown. In 2008 she became a stylist at Paul Brown Kailua where she worked until 2020, before joining the HiLites team. She loves making her clients feel their best selves, all while laughing and having fun with them. Heidi enjoys working with her clients to create looks they feel great in, from pixies to long lengths with layers to full colors and HiLites. When Heidi is not in the salon she can be found at her kids sporting events.
MEET SKYE
HAIR STYLIST
Skye Maxwell has been a hairstylist since 2020. Skye graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Honolulu with honors in hair coloring and hair cutting. Skye joined the HiLites Salon team in their apprenticeship program upon receiving her cosmetology license. After one year of working under master stylist Jenne Lawrence, Skye now specializes in dimensional color such as balayage and baby lights. Skye also specializes in hair tinsel!
